Riteish Deshmukh was last seen in ALADIN which turned out to be a colossal disappointment at the box office. Just when it had started seeming that Riteish Deshmukh had placed his feet firmly in the big league of Bollywood, the no-show of ALADIN made one wonder if the young man would be able to bounce back.
Well, he bounces back for sure and does a lot more with his RANN round the corner. In a serious avtar (years after NAACH which was incidentally directed by Ram Gopal Varma himself), Riteish is said to be one of the many surprises that are in store in this film which is spearheaded by Amitabh Bachchan. Also, his act is pretty much expected to dispel the myth that Riteish works only in comic outings.
