The director of the film Ken Ghosh wanted to increase the budget of the film but the producers turned down the offer. It's said that the producers turned down the request since they felt that Shahid and Genelia do not fit into the big budget category.
It must be recalled that a few months back Shahid Kapoor was seen as the new superstar in the making, but with the present budget cut of his latest release, looks like Shahid still has a long way to go.
