After initial reservations, Deepika Padukone finally gave her nod to smoking for a scene in “Karthik Calling Karthik”.
Deepika plays a smoker in the film, co-starring Farhan Akhtar.
Deepika, who has never smoked, wanted to look like a real smoker for the role. She closely observed her friends who smoke to get her act right.
This will be the first time Deepika will be seen smoking in a film.
She is very excited about her role and is waiting for audiences’ reaction to this new character that she is playing. However, she is happy that the movie discourages people from smoking.
